After moving to NYC in 2010, I quickly discovered the magic of the boozy brunch. It quickly became one of my favorite things, because really, it is one of the best things. I knew Eggs Benedict existed as a concept, but never really went anywhere on a regular basis that served it. But it also became one of my favorite things.
So much so that people started to notice what this was pretty much the only brunch dish I would order if it was available. Then they started asking me who served the best Eggs Benedict. But I had never really thought about it since I wasn't keeping track so much as just enjoying my brunch.
When it was suggested that I start a blog about my experiences with benedicts, I saw a great opportunity with two main benefits: I could keep track of where to find the best dishes, and I had a reason to order the same thing every time without people giving me a hard time.
Win-Win.
